Trek the remote Himalayas with an inspirational team
ENQUIREEver dreamed of trekking the remotest parts of the Himalayas? While the throng heads to Everest Base Camp to tick boxes, we're taking the road less travelled. We're off to experience the tranquillity and wonder of Makalu (the 5th Highest Mountain on earth) In April '22 a fun-loving and inspirational expedition team will be trekking way off the beaten track, through some of the most unspoiled parts of the Himalayas. We'll be staying in far-flung tea-houses with views that'll blow your mind. From the high passes, we'll see Everest (8,850m), Lhotse (8,516) and Makalu (8,463m) in a way no one else does. We'll trek with a really inspirational group to Makalu Base Camp, where the summit team will split off to start their two-month expedition to climb the giant mountain. We'll experience all the excitement of a big range expedition, before slowly returning through the Barun valley to the hustle, bustle, smells, sounds and colours of Kathmandu, using another spectacular route. We're looking for some hardy, joyful souls for this 21-day trek. It'll be high, tough, beautiful and exceptionally remote. What's more, you'll be part of a fully self-supported (UK led) expedition. No tour groups or tourist traps. They don't come this way. This is our adventure. Who's ready to get really high?

Make no mistake, this is a tough one - but if you're reasonably fit, motivated and determined, then you can make it. We'll have a WhatsApp group before the trip to chat and keep everyone on track. If previous trips are anything to go by, that group will transform into a fantastic bunch of new friends by the time the adventure is over.
Yes! And your departure from Makalu Base Camp will be properly epic. For a supplement of £625pp you can take a helicopter directly from MBC to Kathmandu. The chopper seats four and three seats have already gone.
This expedition has a full refund policy up to 60 days before the trip for any reason, and if the trip is cancelled or postponed then you'll also get a full refund. No Problem.
The trek is staffed with plenty of UK and Nepali guides and support crew. If you have any problems there will be more than enough people on hand to guide you down or look after you without impacting the others.
Nick Carter is leading the logistics for this expedition. If you have any questions, drop him a line at [email protected] or call/WhatsApp on +447944913245
